Hanabie is a Japanese metalcore band formed in Tokyo in 2015. The group is composed of vocalist Yukina, guitarist Matsuri, bassist Hettsu, and drummer Chika. His style, self-described “Harajuku-core,” combines strong, heavy music with contrasting Harajuku aesthetics. Their songs fuse elements of metalcore, hardcore punk and nu metal, with touches of hip hop and electronica.
Hanabie formed as a light music club in high school, and after an independent period, they signed to Epic Records Japan in 2023. Their second album, “Reborn Superstar!”, peaked at number 24 on Billboard's weekly album charts. Japan.
The group's name, Hanabie, means “cold spring weather” and refers to the birthdays of the four founding members, all of whom were born in winter or spring.
