JAMES TAYLOR QUARTET (Lisbon)

Absolute icons of British acid jazz and jazz-funk, the James Taylor Quartet arrives in Portugal in May for two unmissable concerts. With over 30 years of career, the band led by legendary organist James Taylor is a world reference for its contagious groove, explosive performances and the unmistakable sound of the Hammond B3.

Pioneers of a movement that marked generations, the JTQ were at the forefront of the London acid jazz scene of the 90s, achieving top sales in the UK, nominations for the MOBO Awards and a legion of loyal fans worldwide. Their repertoire crosses original themes with iconic interpretations of soundtracks from the 60s and 70s, including the unforgettable "Austin's Theme" from the Austin Powers film.
